Our Art border for this page was inspired by William Shakespeare
It has been another busy week in Year 6. A highlight for the class was spending some time with their 'Buddies' from Reception on Wednesday afternoon, when each Year 6 child listened to their Buddy read. It was both impressive and heart-warming to see the way in which the children responded to this task, once again proving to be a mature and caring group of young people.
We have continued with our topic 'Shine a Light', which is focusing on refugees and migration this week. This included researching information about famous refugees and learning about how their lives were impacted by some severe events occurring around them. The topic also linked into a morning of music that the children had with Mrs Jacob this week, whereby they were rehearsing and performing songs on the theme of 'journeys'.
I would like to say a big well done to all the children for responding so well to our change in timetable on Fridays. The class have all arrived on time and ready to learn, making the very most of their small-group maths lessons. Great work Year 6! Keep it up!
