Our Art border for this page was inspired by William Shakespeare

What a year it has been! I would like to begin by saying a huge thank you to Year 6 for all their hard work and dedication. I truly believe that they have made the very most of their final year at Priors Field and should be proud of the way they have handled a difficult school year. Going into lockdown after Christmas presented a challenge for the children, which they immediately responded to. The class showed maturity and independence during this period, continuing to progress, and responding to the situation positively.

Year 6 didn't let this slow them down, and embraced all of the opportunities that have been available to them this year. Some of the highlights include:

  • Our amazing residential trip to Manor Adventure!

  • Preparing for our end of year performance.

  • Our whole class Teams sessions on Fridays which included: boot camp, drama, sketching and quizzes.

  • The excellent Shakespeare projects.

  • Sports day - in particular the Sticky Race!

  • Class debates and discussions.

  • Fantastic engagement in all of our topics - especially our unit based on refugees and migration.

Year 6 will be sorely missed next year. However, we are all excited for them as they move on to the next stage of their education. I am confident that the class are ready for Secondary School and we wish them all the very best.
