Dear Parents,

Welcome back and I hope you all had a lovely half term. We have a busy (and long!) half term ahead of us and I wanted to let you know about some of the things the children will be taking part in during the term.

Before half term I attended a course led by Shonette Bason-Wood. She is an inspirational Early Years trainer and runs a website called www.spreadthehappiness.co.uk. Through this training we are going to be taking part in a 27 day challenge of Spread the Happiness. Each week will have a different theme, which will run alongside and compliment our Transport topic for this half term.

The themes are as follows:

Week beginning 6th November: Happy Maths

Week beginning 13th November: Kindness and Community

Week beginning 20th November: Happy Literacy

Week beginning 27th November: Outdoor Happiness

Week beginning 4th December: 100 things to do before you are 6.

I will put an outline of activities for the following week on our blog on the website on the Friday before. There is also a section on our Reception page of the website which will have a daily update of our activities.

I hope you will support us in the exciting adventure and if you would like to know more information, then please feel free to come and have a chat with me.

Thank you for your continued support.

Helen Lloyd
